I’ve been playing drums with Alex for a little under a year and it’s been so gratifying to see how much my drumming has improved because of the lessons I’ve been taking at Drumhub 🥳🎉 Alex is a fantastic drummer and teacher, which is exactly the combination you want in someone you’re learning from. He strikes a really good balance between teaching interesting concepts and essential techniques. I couldn’t recommend him enough — thanks for all your wisdom and time mate! 🙏
Alex
Hit a plateau in my progress, and Alex is great at teaching intermediate level concepts in a musical way. I’ve steadily been working through his online membership site. Excellent collection of courses that has been challenging and digestible, it’s had noticeable effects on my playing already!

Difficult to recommend Alex more! Having played a few instruments in the past but being a total beginner on drums it could have been easy for me to get frustrated with my playing quickly, but the really simple to digest introductory principles couldn’t have been better explained, with enough variety in the exercises to keep things interesting for a long time. Alex is always able to bring it back to practical examples of real world application of the techniques making the lessons really fun.

I am really enjoying the intro to bebop course, the material in the course shows real thought behind the learning process. This is actually surprisingly rare in drum tuition vids. Many seem to charge into stuff quite deeply in a style resembling old music teachers (and I'm talking how it was taught in the 60s). On top of this insight, I think you also inspire. You are clearly a shit-hot drummer with a wide spectrum of knowledge but somehow your attitude imparts a "come with me and have fun on this journey" as opposed to "look at all the crazy shit I know". I wish I had discovered you two years ago!

I couldn't wish for a better learning experience. It's due to Alex's talents as a teacher that I've felt so motivated to continue learning, with so much joy!
Kate
I’m absolutely loving working through the ‘1 Handed 16th note Grooves’ course. Amazing sounding grooves in there!
